Yes. Retail visitors see public prices on the same catalog and checkout. Wholesale buyers see their discounted price the moment they log in — no coupon code and no separate store required.
How does EU VAT exemption work at checkout?
The buyer enters their VAT registration number at checkout. StoreEngine validates it in real time against the EU VIES database. A valid business buyer gets the intra-EU reverse charge applied automatically — 0% VAT — and the result is stored on the order.
Can different wholesale customers get different prices?
Yes. Customer groups let you create named segments — Distributor, Partner, Reseller — and attach a different pricing rule to each, so a Distributor can get 30% off while a standard Reseller gets 20%, all from one rule dashboard.
Do buyers need to be approved before they see wholesale prices?
If you turn on a gated catalog, yes — prospective buyers submit a wholesale registration form, you approve the account and assign it to a customer group, and their pricing and any wholesale-only products unlock. It’s optional; you can also assign the role manually.
