The moment a payment is confirmed, StoreEngine generates a secure download link and emails it to the buyer. The email is sent automatically — no manual action on your end. Buyers can also re-download from their account dashboard at any time within your set limits.
Can I prevent buyers from sharing download links?
Yes. You can set a per-file download count limit (e.g. 3 downloads per purchase) and an expiry date after which the link stops working. For S3-hosted files, every download request generates a new signed URL that expires after a short time window, making permanent link sharing impossible.
How do license keys work?
StoreEngine generates a unique license key per order and delivers it in the order confirmation email. You set the activation limit (1 site, 3 sites, unlimited) and expiry date per product. If the buyer requests a refund or their subscription lapses, the key is deactivated automatically.
Do I need my own AWS account for S3 storage?
Yes. You connect your own AWS S3 bucket by entering your credentials in StoreEngine settings. Your files remain in your own AWS account — StoreEngine never stores them on its servers. This keeps your data under your control and lets you use S3’s CDN-backed delivery speeds.
Can I sell from a landing page that isn’t my WordPress site?
