One Store. Every Market. Legally Right.

Multi-currency display, real-time EU VAT validation, and full German legal compliance — Grundpreis, Widerrufsbelehrung, Button-Lösung, GDPR — all built in. No extra plugin for any of it.

What are you selling?

Visitors see prices in their local currency. Automatically.

StoreEngine detects the visitor’s country by IP and switches the displayed currency automatically. Live exchange rates sourced from four independent providers — Frankfurter, Open Exchange Rates, ExchangeRate-API, and Currency Beacon — updated on a configurable schedule.

Multi-Currency
Vat Check

VIES and HMRC validation. Reverse charge applied automatically.

B2B buyers in the EU and UK enter their VAT registration number at checkout. StoreEngine validates it in real time against the EU VIES database (all 27 member states) and the UK HMRC API. Valid companies receive the intra-EU reverse charge — 0% VAT — applied automatically with no manual step.

Consent logged at checkout. IP-stamped audit trail per order.

StoreEngine’s GDPR consent module adds a required checkbox at checkout for marketing consent and privacy policy acceptance. Each consent is logged with a timestamp, IP address, and order reference — creating an auditable compliance record you can export on request.

Gdpr Compliance
Seo Schema + Invoice

Product schema, hreflang-compatible SEO, and legal PDF invoices.

StoreEngine’s SEO adapter generates JSON-LD product schema and works alongside Rank Math, Yoast, and SEOPress without conflict. PDF invoices and packing slips are generated per order — required under EU law — and attached to the order confirmation email automatically.

Common Questions

Does StoreEngine handle all German legal requirements out of the box?

Yes. Grundpreis (PAngV unit pricing), Button-Lösung (legal checkout button wording), Widerrufsbelehrung PDF on order emails, AGB PDF attachment, EU VAT validation via VIES, and GDPR consent logging are all built into the free tier. No separate plugin or legal consultant required to configure them.

How does EU VAT exemption work for B2B buyers?

The buyer enters their VAT registration number at checkout. StoreEngine validates it in real time against the EU VIES API. If the number is valid and the buyer is in a different EU member state from your store, intra-EU reverse charge (0% VAT) is applied automatically. The result — company name, country, and validation status — is stored on the order.

Does multi-currency charge buyers in their local currency?

Visitors see prices in their detected local currency. Checkout-currency conversion — charging in EUR for European buyers or GBP for UK buyers — is available as an extended configuration. Orders process at live exchange rates against your store’s base currency.

What is Grundpreis and why is it required?

Grundpreis is the German unit price law (PAngV — Preisangabenverordnung). It requires stores to display a standardized unit price — e.g. €4.45/100ml or €8.99/kg — alongside the total product price for food, cosmetics, cleaning products, and similar goods sold in Germany. StoreEngine generates and displays this automatically when you set the unit and base quantity on a product.

How does GDPR consent logging work?

A consent checkbox is added to the checkout form for privacy policy and marketing consent. When a buyer checks the box and places an order, the consent event is logged with a timestamp, IP address, and the order reference. This creates an auditable compliance record that you can export and provide to a supervisory authority on request.

Is the Widerrufsbelehrung PDF customizable?

Yes. You upload your own Widerrufsbelehrung PDF — typically provided by your lawyer or generated via a German legal service. StoreEngine attaches it automatically to every order confirmation email. The same applies to your AGB (General Terms and Conditions) PDF.
