The Paddle Payment Integration in StoreEngine allows you to seamlessly accept payments for your digital products. Unlike other gateways that may support both digital and physical items, Paddle is designed specifically for digital product transactions. This ensures compliance with Paddle’s global tax handling and digital commerce policies.

With StoreEngine’s Paddle addon, you can quickly enable the integration, configure it to match your store’s requirements, and start selling digital goods worldwide with secure checkout experiences.

Enable Paddle Addon from StoreEngine

To get started, you first need to enable the Paddle addon in your StoreEngine store. Navigate to StoreEngine → Addons.  Locate the Paddle addon. Toggle the switch to Enable the addon.

Once enabled, you’ll be able to configure the payment settings for Paddle.

Configuring Paddle Payments

After enabling the addon, you can configure Paddle payments in two ways: From the Addons menu, click on the Settings (⚙️) icon next to Paddle. Or navigate to StoreEngine → Settings → Payment Methods, and expand the Paddle option.

Note: This is only verified during checkout, not when saving settings. This will be only for the client-side token.

Verify and Save – Save the configuration and verify the connection with Paddle. Once verified, click Save to activate Paddle payments.

Important Note on Products and Taxes

When creating a new digital product in StoreEngine, you’ll see a Tax Type option. This should match the tax type you selected in your Paddle configuration. If you don’t set it manually, the system will automatically apply the tax type configured in the Paddle settings.
