Plan: Free + Pro (Beta) Add-on: Multi-Vendor Where: StoreEngine → Vendors
Commission is the cut you keep from each vendor sale. This guide covers how to set rates, how vendor balances build up, and how vendors get paid.
How Commission Works
• Percentage commission — you keep a percentage of the item’s revenue.
• Flat commission — you keep a fixed amount per item.
| Note: Commission is calculated at the moment of payment using the rate in effect then. Changing a rate later does not rewrite past orders. |
Set the Default Commission
1. Go to StoreEngine → Vendors → Multi-Vendor settings.
2. Set the Commission rate (default 10) and Commission type (Percentage or Flat).
Override Commission for One Vendor
3. Go to StoreEngine → Vendors and edit the vendor.
4. Set a commission rate and type just for them.
Leaving a vendor’s rate blank means they use the store default.
Payouts
Withdrawals (Free)
5. The vendor sets a payment method (PayPal or bank) on their dashboard.
6. They request a withdrawal at or above your minimum withdrawal setting.
7. You review requests under StoreEngine → Vendors and move each through: Pending → Approved → Paid (or Rejected / Cancelled).
8. Once you mark it Paid, it is final.
Payouts (Pro)
With Pro, you can record payouts directly as an admin after sending money outside the system. Pro also adds per-vendor analytics: orders, revenue, commission, and top products over a date range.
Troubleshooting
|
Problem |
What to Check |
|
Commission seems wrong on an order |
Calculated at payment time with the then-current rate. Later changes do not affect existing orders. |
|
Vendor cannot withdraw |
They need a payment method set and a balance at or above the minimum withdrawal amount. |
|
A refunded order still shows commission |
Commission is reversed on refund — allow a moment and recheck the balance. |
|
Paid by mistake |
Paid is final by design. Handle corrections as a separate adjustment. |
