This guide explains how sellers join your marketplace: how they apply, how you approve them, and what they can do once active.

Two Ways a Vendor Joins

1. They Apply Themselves (Public Sign-Up)

If vendor sign-up is enabled and the sign-up page is published, anyone can apply. The form asks for:

• Email (becomes username) and password (at least 8 characters).
• Store name and store description.
• First name, last name, phone, and address.
• Business type — Individual or Company.
• Agreement to your terms (required).

On submit: an account is created with the Vendor role, application saved as Pending, vendor logged in to their dashboard, and you receive an email with an approval link.

2. You Add Them (Admin Sign-Up)

1. Go to StoreEngine → Vendors and click Add vendor.
2. Enter their email and store name. Optionally set a password, custom commission rate, and choose to auto-approve.
3. Save.

What an Approved Vendor Gets

Vendors work entirely from a front-end dashboard — they never see the WordPress admin area. Their dashboard includes:

• Products — create and manage their own products only.
• Orders — view orders containing their products and update fulfillment status.
• Inventory — manage stock for their own products.
• Returns received — see and handle returns raised against their items.
• Earnings / Withdrawals — see their balance and request payouts.
• Payment method — set how they want to be paid (PayPal or bank).
• Store settings — update store name and payout email.
• (Pro) Analytics — sales, commission, and top products over a date range.
